Amp troubleshooting MK3
Connect the unit to power and verify that it powers up. Observe LED indicators.
If LEDs don't illuminate:
1. The amplifier power supply fuse may be blown.
a. Check fuse. If the fuse is blown, replace the fuse with a like-kind.
2. If the fuse blows when power is restored, replace the amplifier module.
3. Power may be disconnected internally.
a. Check internal power connections. If all connections are in good order, move to the next step.
4. DSP may have failed.
a. Remove suspect DSP and test its function when connected to a service amplifier. If LEDs function, set DSP aside as working and move on to the next step.
5. If LEDs don't illuminate, replace DSP with new DSP and install cabinet-specific programming
6. The input board may have failed.
a. To verify whether the input board is functioning, test the input board connected to a known-good amp and DSP. Known-good amp and DSP can be connected to the suspect input board via a long ribbon wire.
7. If LEDs don't illuminate, replace the input board.
8. The Low-voltage power supply on the amplifier module may have failed.
9. Replace the amplifier module.
