How does the DV12 Stack Bracket Work (Arraying 2x DV12s)

Overview of the DV12 Stack Bracket

The DV12 stack bracket links 2x DV12s in an inverted array (meaning the top box is flipped 180 degrees).  This provides a true +6dB increase in SPL, as the waveguides are oriented so they sum coherently (the boxes are inverted so the small wavelengths coming out of the tweeter can couple more effectively, while the longer wavelengths from the woofers can also sum).  The stack bracket provides several angles for the top box, which can help to focus the pair of boxes where you want the sound.  The DV12 already features an isophasic line array waveguide, and was designed with expandability in mind.  The DV12 Stack Bracket is a great way to increase output while maintaining the wide 120 coverage the DV12 is known for.

The DV12 Stack Bracket Kit, which can be ordered online from resellers such as Sweetwater (See here) contains 2x plates (one for each side of the cabinets) and 8x M10 Fasteners.

Using the DV12 Stack Bracket

To use the DV12 Stack Bracket, first remove the 4x M10 bolts from the top of each cabinet (see the locations below) with a 6mm Allen Key.
Place the first cabinet into position (on a pole or on a BASSBOSS subwoofer), and place the second cabinet on top, upside down so the horns line up.  Attach the two plates (one on each side) to the bottom cabinet using four of the M10 fasteners (two per side) included in the Stack Bracket Kit, using a 6mm Allen Key.  The part of the plate that connects to the bottom cabinet is the side with only two holes; the part of the plate that connects to the top cabinet is the side with multiple holes. If desired, tilt the top cabinet down to the desired position, making sure the bolt holes in the top cabinet line up with one of the holes on the plate.  Then, attach the top cabinet to each plate using the remaining 4x fasteners (2 per side), making sure the bolts are snug and secure.  You are then done!
