Note: This example shows photos from an SV9, which has one amplifier. Other speakers will have two amplifiers but the concepts are the same. Please contact BASSBOSS Support by raising a ticket if you need assistance.
Make sure to discharge any static electricity from your body so you don’t shock your equipment.
Remove screws from back plate and remove amp assembly from back of speaker
Take a photo of your setup so you can refer to its default state when reattaching parts. Take photos throughout the process.
Disconnect speaker wire connectors from amp
Place plate on flat surface
Disconnect fan(s) from amp
Unscrew DSP card from amp assembly (DSP card is connected to the input board which is on the amp)
Disconnect ribbon cable(s) from headers. The ribbon cables are the connections between the amp and DSP card.
Carefully disconnect DSP card from input board by pulling up gently. When it comes out you will see the pin connectors.
If shipping the DSP card, wrap it in anti-static bubble wrap and place it in a box so that it is isolated – i.e., it does not move and does not have other items pressing on it.
Install new DSP by carrying out the previous steps in reverse.
